Santa Quilts For Christmas

These quilts were made by Kindergarten students. The quilt ties to a directed drawing art lesson to a Christmas theme.

A look at the completed quilt.
For the Theme Square, children were given direct instructions as to how to draw the santa. The results were wonderful! Then children felt successful and learned a little about centering, perspective, etc.

Directions to be read to your students for a directed drawing lesson for the Santa Quilt

I always cut these out and mount them on red paper and display them for Christmas. Many times I have had my children had speech bubbles where Santa is saying HO HO HO or Merry Christmas. I hope you enjoy this great art project. Sue Biehle Earlimart Elementary, California
